This section profiles people in or around Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, transition, and first administration whose contacts with Russia, Russian nationals, or Russia-linked business figured in U.S. investigations. The principal official records are Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s 2019 report on Russian interference in the 2016 election and the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence’s five-volume report (2019-2020). Some subjects were charged and convicted (Paul Manafort, Michael Flynn, Roger Stone, though all three were later pardoned); others were examined and not charged; still others are included for business ties, such as the Bayrock Group figures, or for their roles in related congressional inquiries.
