U.S.-Russia Relations Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a news conference following meetings with Secretary of State Tillerson and President Trump. He said there was no compelling evidence of Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election and called President Trump’s firing of FBI Director Comey an internal U.S. matter.
