ABOUT ACTIVE MEASURES
America is still working to grasp what occurred in 2016 with the revelations of Russian interference in the presidential election between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. The Special Counsel report was submitted and made public. The committees in the US Congress have been investigating the interactions between the Trump campaign, interlocutors and the Russians, and the metadata in the influence operations and hacks used against the American population.
This site will explore numerous examples used from the early days to modern operations in both the United States and abroad.
THE OBJECTIVE
There is still a sizable part of the population that does not understand what Russian Active Measures are and how they’re carried out.
This site’s objective: Provide an easy to understand guide to the interested audience with source provided. Demonstrate past upon present and explore Russian adaptations
The foundation of this work has been over 40 years in the making, beginning with a deep fascination with the choices of propaganda artists compared to conventional art, and extending through decades of living under the effects of both state and non-state propaganda.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Thank you to Ladislav Bittman, aka Larry Martin, who wrote the first book I read on the topic, KGB and Soviet Disinformation. I have a cannister of his artworks sent after several nice phone calls where we’d talk about these operations, his love of art and having Bill O’Reilly as a bad student. Thank you Larry. You opened this door.
