On September 10, 2020, the Department of Justice charged Artem Mikhaylovich Lifshits with identity theft as part of the ongoing operation known as Project Lakhta.

The adiantum was listed as Special Agent Heather Turner. It was filed in the Eastern District of Virginia.

Lifshits was the “manager” of the Project Lakhta Translator Department in charge of attacking the United States starting “at least” January 2017.

He was operating cryptocurrency with stolen US identities.
