Noua Dreaptă (New Right) is a Romanian ultranationalist movement founded in 2000 and led by Tudor Ionescu. It draws on the interwar Iron Guard (Legion of the Archangel Michael) tradition, combining Orthodox nationalism with opposition to minority rights and calls for union with Moldova. It is a member of the Alliance for Peace and Freedom, the pan-European far-right party led by figures including Roberto Fiore and Udo Voigt. In 2015 Noua Dreaptă was among the groups invited to join the World National-Conservative Movement launched by Russia’s Rodina party.
