After Trump requested the resignation of 46 U.S. Attorney Generals left from the Obama Administration. Preet Bharara, US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, whom Trump personally asked to stay in the position last November, was in the batch requested to resign. I did not resign. Moments ago I was fired. Being the US Attorney in SDNY will forever be the greatest honor of my professional life.
